The Ohanaeze Ndigbo has reacted to the trending news that Nigeria’s former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, who is now the PDP’s presidential candidate, chose Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate.
Atiku, who describes Okowa as a person with trustworthy and reliable traits, who will not only help him to win the 2023 election but will also help in leading Nigeria to the right path.
However, when Ohanaeze was reacting to Atiku’s choice of running mate, by the group’s Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, according to Daily Post news they wholeheartedly kicked against it, as they claimed that Atiku would lose the coming election.
The social cultural group made it known that the choice of governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, won’t let Atiku qualify to get the Igbo vote in anyway, and the easterners will surely vote against the party in 2023.
Isiguzoro claimed that Ifeanyi Okowa is a minus and the choice of him by Atiku shows that the PDP party is not ready to win the coming presidential election. He stated that the people of the South East will teach PDP language because they need to understand in the 2023 polls.
Ohanaeze assure that Atiku will surely face the consequences for shunning south East and the Ndigbo will plan of going to another direction in 2023 which will not be in favour of PDP.
