Olaolu Mudashiru, VETIVA Capital Co-Founder, Dies in Freak Accident

Olaolu Mudashiru, Co-Founder/ Deputy Managing Director of VETIVA, one of Nigeria’s leading Capital Management firms, died following a freak accident on Gerrard Road (Onikoyi end), in the upscale neighborhood of Ikoyi, Lagos, on Sunday morning, THEWILL can report.

THEWILL gathered that the charismatic and lively businessman/investment banker was cycling with two other professional cyclists when a drunk driver rammed into their bicycles and sped off, leaving them with very serious injuries. Mudashiru and the two other cyclists who we have not identified were rushed to the Lagoon Hospital on Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi, where Mudashiru eventually died from injuries to the head, according to our very reliable sources.

THEWILL does not have information on the condition of the two others.

“This hit-and-run driver must be found,” one of Mudashiru’s friends told THEWILL.

Mudashiru, who trained as a medical doctor, was the son of former Lagos State Military Administrator, late Air Commodore Gbolahan Mudashiru. He was in his early fifties.

As of the time of writing, VETIVA had not released a formal statement.
