Guber Aspirant, Mustaph Votes, Says Victory for Tinubu.
Abdul-Ahmed Mustapha, a former All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Lagos State has cast his vote in the ongoing presidential and national assembly election, Kosofe Lagos.
Mustaph accredited and cast his vote at polling unit 07, ward Isheri-Olowo-Ira/Shagisha/Magodo Phase l & ll, Kosofe , Lagos at exactly 10:05 am.
Speaking with the newsmen, said the process is smooth and the BVAS working perfectly. The accreditation process went smoothly. There were occasional challenges, but nothing to worry about. Everything was peaceful, orderly. The turned out today was very high and impressed. It excepted that during situation in the country and intense is very high and no incumbency factor.
“There is a level playing field otherwise, it is very high turned out, especially from the youth at the end of the day, I believe strongly in our candidacy, our program what we have done in the past. And our plans for the future of Lagos By the grace of God, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be declared President-elect in a couple of days.”
While urging the people, to remain peaceful, and be orderly. Although, there have been some certain incidents in part of Surulere, Okota , Oshodi, Ikate Elegunshi, apart from that, generally, the election is peaceful, adding we believe in our candidacy. At the end of the day, all of our candidates will turn out victorious, Mustapha said.
A former permanent secretary, Lagos state civil service, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, said, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC needs to improve on its Logistic element. It has been a parallel challenge them and that is understandable, they have to depend NURTW. They don’t have their own independent vehicles to move sensitive materials across the polling units.
According to him, “It’s being the perennial challenges for them. They have to depend on the National Union of Transport Workers, NURTW. The infrastructure needs to put in place for this electoral empire to avoid mixed up items from array logistics companies.”
“Getting the body into, required the process and improvement of geospatial technology (GIS) to track the movement of all the items and people
because technology and processing is critical in some areas INEC needs to take into consideration.”
Mustapha stressed that logistics management working with INEC with sensitive materials needs proactive measure to issue FRE tags to ensure items get to polling units on time.
